Sales

The till and the sales cycle run on the same logic: every document produces its entry, and every riyal in the drawer has its counterpart in the ledger.

What it stands on

Sales does not run without these modules. The ones that always run are in every instance, and no plan that includes Sales is accepted without the subscribable ones among them.

From the real module registry: what each module needs in order to run.

From quotation to collection, and from the drawer to the ledger

  • A full till screen: drawer count, items by weight and by count, void a line, park an invoice
  • Split payment across several methods with the change calculated, and a discount or a price override behind a supervisor code
  • Returns on a queue: request, approve, inspect, credit note, and replacement
  • Shifts with an opening, cash movements and a close, posting the over or the short
  • The full cycle: quotation → customer order → delivery note → invoice → customer receipt
  • Price lists by channel, unit, date and customer contract, and sales reps with commission

How far this reaches today

  • Offline operation is written and has not been tested yet
  • No integration with a scale, a printer, a cash drawer or a barcode scanner
  • A cash sale with no named customer cannot be returned
  • No advance-payment invoice, and no backorders or standing orders
  • Commission does not post to the ledger from sales — it is settled through payroll
