Terms of use
Last updated
This document is a draft written from the site’s own code to describe what it actually does, and it has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel. It will be reviewed and approved before commercial launch; until then it is a factual description, not a contract.
What these terms cover
These terms apply to your use of this marketing website: browsing it, reading its pages, and sending a message from the contact form.
Subscribing to Sudo is governed by a separate service agreement, presented to you when you open an account. Nothing on this page replaces or amends it.
What this site is, and what it is not
The pages of this site describe the product as it is built on the last-updated date above. Where a capability is incomplete or untested we say so plainly on the security page and in the FAQ, rather than hiding it.
Prices shown are the published prices for the plans in the currency you choose, and they may change. The price that applies to you is the one shown in the subscription flow at the moment you complete it.
The free trial
The trial starts with a full account and requires no payment method. When it ends, the account moves to a mode that does not accept writes, nothing in your data is deleted, and signing in takes you to the plan-selection page.
Acceptable use
Use the site in good faith: do not attempt to break into it or scan it for vulnerabilities without permission, do not load it with automated requests, and do not use the contact form to send unlawful content or bulk messages.
If you find a security flaw, the route we ask for is on the security page: write to us before publishing, and we answer every report.
Intellectual property
The text, design and marks of this site, and the name Sudo, belong to Yamama Software. You may quote from them with attribution; you may not republish them as they are or use them in a way that suggests they are your product.
The site uses open-source components, each under its own licence.
What this draft does not contain yet
This document contains no governing-law clause, no limitation of liability and no dispute-resolution mechanism. Those are clauses for counsel to set, and we will not write placeholder text for them that reads as final.
Changes to these terms
We may update this page, and the last-updated date above it changes with it. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the published version.
